Excerpt from Worth of A Smile:

I was standing on the platform anxiously waiting for the metro to arrive. I was already fifteen minutes late for an appointment and it seemed the metro was taking longer than normal. Caught up in my own thoughts and worries, I looked around and noticed there weren’t many people waiting on the platform. It was kind of unusual at this time of day, on a busy metro station like Mont-royal. There was, however, a young man standing alone next to me.

The man seemed to be absorbed by his own thoughts too, but not in the same way as me. He appeared very calm. A serene aura emanated from him. As his beautiful piercing hazel eyes met mine, he noticed me staring and smiled. It was the warmest most enjoyable smile I had received all day. I timidly returned the smile and looked away before my blushing cheeks betrayed me.
